A Few Words About Annie
After earning her MBA in 1989, Annie started her investment career at Texas Commerce Bank (currently J.P. Morgan Chase). During her nearly 10 years with the bank, she held analytical positions in consumer credit, corporate credit, capital markets, and investment management. She gained valuable experience as a fixed income analyst, and in 1995 as an equity analyst for stock mutual funds and private account managers. While working for the bank, she authored an article entitled “Quantifying the Credit Risk Exposure of an Interest Rate Swap” which was published in the Journal of Bank Cost & Management Account in 1993, early in the life of these derivative products. In 1998, she joined Northern Trust as a portfolio manager for private accounts and trusts.
Annie met Art Molloy while grading CFA® examinations in Charlottesville, Virginia. This meeting later resulted in an interview, then an invitation to join Art at Capital Growth, Inc. in a dual role as analyst and portfolio manager in March of 2001. Her overriding goal is to remove the burden and discomfort from individuals whose goal is to grow their investments with overall less volatility than the capital markets generally afford. Her desire is for clients to understand the commitment to integrity and fiduciary duty Capital Growth adheres to, and to be able to relax and enjoy what is most important in their lives.
Annie holds two securities licenses and is a CFA® Charterholder and Certified Financial Planner®. She is a member of the CFS Institute, the CFA® Society of San Diego and the National Association of Active Investment Managers.
Having been born an analyst before the internet, with massive tomes of data on paper generally out of date before they are even read, Annie loves the real time information age. She strives to deliver portfolios of assets appropriate for each individual client in the context of a complex dynamic investment environment.
